Spring Training Game 2: Ducks vs. Bluefish

Good afternoon Ducks fans!

The Ducks host their first home spring training game of the year today as part of the team’s Fifth Annual Fan Fest! First pitch against the Bridgeport Bluefish is slated for 1:00 p.m. Here are the starting lineups for this afternoon’s exhibition game:

UPDATE (1:11): TOP 1: Sparkling defense from the Ducks! Lentini throws out a runner from third on a single & Reyes with a diving stop up the middle!

UPDATE (1:30): After two scoreless innings and two strikeouts, John Brownell’s afternoon is complete. Rafael Perez now on the mound for the Flock!

UPDATE (1:43): TOP 3: Bridgeport strikes first on an RBI single to right field by former Duck Sean Burroughs. 1-0 Bluefish.

UPDATE (2:21): TOP 5: Tim Melville, who pitched in MLB with the Reds in 2016, has taken over on the mound for the Flock!

UPDATE (2:40): TOP 6: Defensive changes for the Ducks:
– Patrick Crider -> Pitcher
– Giovanny Alfonzo -> Second Base
– Angelo Songco -> Right Field
– Dominic Blanco -> Catcher

UPDATE (3:01): BOT 6: Dan Lyons gets the Ducks on the board with a sacrifice fly to left, scoring Nolan Reimold! 1-1 ballgame.

UPDATE (3:07): TOP 7: Strong inning by Islip resident Rob Rogers, who induces a trio of groundouts. Time to stretch!

UPDATE (3:25): TOP 8: Another impressive inning for a Long Island native! East Meadow product Tyler Levine tosses a 1-2-3 frame with a strikeout.

UPDATE (3:51): TOP 9: Tyler Wilson works around a leadoff walk and strikes out the side in the ninth! Still a 1-1 ballgame at the Duck Pond.

UPDATE (4:18): Today’s game ends in a 1-1 tie. Check out the full recap at LIDucks.com. The spring training slate continues Monday at noon against the Long Island Black Sox.

  1. It was a very nice time. Events like this are wonderful!
    I am looking forward to the Ducks Home Opener! See you all then!
