Weekend Debate: Favorite Group Outing

If you haven’t heard, Ducks group tickets will be going on sale this coming Wednesday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. Group outings at Bethpage Ballpark have always been extremely popular among organizations, little leagues, schools and so many more groups around Long Island. This is the perfect way for 25 or more people to enjoy a night out together, catch some exciting baseball and create a memorable evening that will be talked about long after the final out is recorded.

In 2014, the Ducks will continue to offer a wide variety of opportunities for groups to enjoy a night out at the ballpark. Among the many options are regular group tickets and premium tickets, pre-game and in-game picnics, luxury suites and party deck rentals. Each opportunity has unique features and amenities that make your night out as special as possible. However, since all are so great, we want to find out what the fans think is their favorite group outing. So, we’ll leave it up to you in today’s “Weekend Debate.”

Regular and Premium Group Tickets

The Ducks offer some of the best group ticket rates around. Box seating tickets are available for just $10 for every game during the 2014 season. Be sure to book early though for an even better discount too, because the first 600 tickets reserved for all Monday-Thursday games are just $9 each. It’s a great way for groups to enjoy the game from great locations throughout the ballpark and have their name included on the scoreboard. For those groups who want to move even closer to the action, upgrade to premium tickets located in Sections 113 or 114. You’ll be sitting right next to the field while watching Long Island’s hometown team defend their back-to-back Atlantic League titles.

Hebrew National Picnic Area

If you have a group of 50 to 300 that wants to enjoy a Ducks game while also being treated to an outstanding picnic at the ballpark. In the Hebrew National Picnic Area, groups are treated to an all-you-can-eat picnic that includes delectable treats like hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, ribs, roasted corn, tossed salad, Pepsi beverages, cookies, potato chips, snacks, watermelon, potato, and macaroni salad. Our pre-game picnics start 90 minutes before the game and last up until the first pitch. In 2013, the Ducks also offered groups the chance to enjoy an in-game picnic. These last from the end of the first inning to the end of the seventh inning or 90 minutes, whichever comes first. Groups from 100 to 300 people can take advantage of this unique opportunity. Not only are you able to enjoy the picnic area, but you will also have a great box seat to watch the game from.

Luxury Suites

Head upstairs to the luxury suite level at Bethpage Ballpark and catch a Ducks game in style. Each luxury suite offers 20 guests a bird’s eye view of the pristine playing surface at the Duck Pond, one of the best spots to watch a game from. Each suite is also fully-furnished so you can enjoy the comforts and amenities of the climate-controlled atmosphere, and there is also a cable television included. The suites also have outdoor balcony seating for 15 fans, and best of all, each suite ticket allows guests to access the Duck Club Restaurant and Bar, which is located on the suite level. In addition, Centerplate the official concessions provider of the Ducks, offers many outstanding catering packages for your guests to enjoy. The suites at Bethpage Ballpark are perfect whether you’re having a party celebration, a corporate event or just want to enjoy the game in luxury.

Smokin’ Al’s Party Deck

The Party Deck is another excellent choice from groups who want to be right next to the action during the game. It’s located along the left field line and is an exclusive area for a group of 40 to call their own throughout the entire game. The Party Deck comes with 40 tickets to the game, picnic tables and tents and a dedicated waiter/waitress for your group all game long. Your group also has the opportunity pre-order an assortment of food and beverages from a special menu to enjoy throughout your time in the Party Deck. This area is a hotbed for foul balls and an ideal spot to entertain clients and employees or have a celebration with your friends and family.
